Flowers, Plantings and Perennials

While all plants come from the good Earth, the very best plants come from Good Earth.  We hand-select the varieties that we carry based on our own experience in cultivating and raising them here on our premises or in our greenhouses.  And while we offer an enormous selection of trees, shrubs, perennials and annuals, we don’t sell varieties that can’t meet our rigid standards.  This means that you can have confidence in the plants and flowers you purchase at Good Earth, because we’ll only sell what we guarantee.

Our 4 ½ acre property is literally covered with hundreds of varieties of perennials, annuals, grasses, bushes, and trees.  We have over 60,000 perennials in stock, 40,000 of which we raise ourselves.  Our plant experts raise our stock as if for our own personal use, so it’s larger, hardier and fuller than what you’ll find elsewhere.  That means better success in transplanting, and a head start for your strong, vibrant and colorful garden.

We make our selections based on the success we’ve enjoyed with plant varieties over the years.  And we’re always trying out a limited number of new plants to see if they can live up to our high expectations…and yours. This has led to some wonderful discoveries, such as our Knockout Rose, which, like the name implies, is visually stunning.  It’s stronger and less fussy than other roses, making it easy to care for.  We like this rose so much, we use it extensively in our plantings on the Clinton Library rooftop garden.  The Knockout Rose gets our “Presidential Seal of Approval!”
