Artemisia is grown primarily for the foliage color; many varieties feature silvery-green foliage. These are wonderful plants for rock gardens and other sunny, dry gardens. The silver foliage contrasts well with both bright colors and pastels, as well as dark foliage. Leaving wilted branches intact over the winter for protection against cold weather damage; prune in the Spring as new growth starts lower on the plant.
